The lake was very picturesque. There were 2000 camels for rent to ride to the top of the dune and you could see them up the side of the dune alone with people climbing the dunes

This place is amazing. We stayed overnight in one of the yurts at the lake - simply breathtaking to see the sunset and sunrise around there.

Fantastic view. Although we went there during the chinese golden week, the place was not full of people. I regret not to have stayed there at night to spend more time. 1-day trip from Kashgar is too short

Excellent pictures spot at the foot of Mustagata. But the place is extremely dirty (as so many places in China) and must be avoided (boy-cotted ??).

I would imagine that this lake could have many different "looks" depending on the weather. You must not miss this place.

A must seeing scenery on the way from Kashgar to Tashkorgan. No tickets. Just stall your car on your road side and have a short walk along the lakeside. It's the stunning view.
