After we arrived at 15.00 in Kashgar from Yarkand in the QuiniBagh hotel, we went to Ali Tash from Uygur Tours opposite of the hotel (see my review of Uygur Tours). It was no problem to arrange a daytour for the next day - Saturday...More

A must seeing scenery on the way from Kashgar to Tashkorgan. No tickets. Just stall your car on your road side and have a short walk along the lakeside. It's the stunning view.

Nice views but yurts aren't the best experience, cold, and they're not private. I'd recommend stopping for photos and horseriding if you have the time, then pushing on to Tashkurgan (stay at the Crown inn hotel) or Kashgar depending on which direction you are going.
